If the Energizer bunny was a human being, it would be Camille Wilson. There is no “off” button for her, no missed opportunity to experience more fun – she is here to relish and enjoy life to its fullest extent, no matter what time it is. This extends to how she lives her life - Camille loves loving things, and she feels things deeply to her core. She cares about the people around her – her pup, her two adorable children, and her partner (not necessarily in that order). Sure, there might be an Unleash or 2 to discuss how this might hinder some things – but it is also her superpower – to connect deeply with someone on a human level and feel what they’re feeling.
Fernando is an easy going man with a sense of humor that everyone appreciates...oh wait...not the right Fernando. Fernando is, however, a genuine and ever-improving partner and parent. His humor may require a little getting used to, but he can always make Camille laugh. As a business partner, he is driven and strives to optimize the goings on at Wilson Dutra at every turn. As a parent, he is caring and thoughtful in his guidance and works with Camille to create a unified and loving front. No day with Fernando is boring or mundane....and Camille loves every moment together, even the tough ones and the challenging ones. Together they feel unstoppable.
Who knew that sitting behind the same person in law school would lead to working at a law firm together, having 2 children, and getting married?
Camille and Fernando met in a Florida law school in 2009. By happenstance, Fernando sat behind Camille in (almost) every class. They then found out that those seats would stay the same throughout the entire year.
Inevitability, the two struck up a conversation, and then a friendship, hanging out as their schedules allowed and eventually developing a deeper friendship.
When Fernando left for New York, Camille stayed in touch. Camille went on to do her own fantastic things – working as a patent contractor for a Fortune 50 company, then working on patent overflow work for every patent attorney in Jacksonville. Fernando was working as a litigator at a personal injury and bankruptcy law firm, looking for an opportunity to work on intellectual property.
During that time, Camille had a case that just required that je ne sais Nando and invited Fernando down to work together with her on it. They found out that they clicked, worked pretty well together, didn’t know what the word hubris meant, and thought, hey, let’s make this a whole enterprise together.
Over months of working really closely together, late nights, long hours…they eventually started really working together, if you catch my drift. This led to 2 beautiful children and an incredible life together.
After an eventful Mastermind where Rjon mentioned Camille wanted to marry Fernando, the 2 started talking about “making it paper official” in earnest. During a mystical APPM experience in New York City, Fernando asked the question! And now, on a humid July afternoon, the journey of a lifetime comes full circle.
